The ProTank II is the latest upgrade to the Kanger ProTank glass clearomizers.

The ProTank 2 uses the same base and coil as the first edition, so you can upgrade to the new model without getting rid of your old ProTank heads and coils. The coil on this “glassomizer” is also stated by many retailers to be compatible with the Evod coil, but this hasn’t been directly stated by the manufacturer.

The changes made during this electronic cigarette clearomizer upgrade include the addition of a removable tip and the ability, by the user, to completely dismantle the entire clearomizers, from top to bottom. No glue is used on this unit, and the glass tank can be easily removed and replaced in the event of a broken glass event.

The ProTank II, like the original ProTank, has a bottom fed coil which can be changed out without emptying the e-Liquid from the tank. One of the reasons some people prefer glass tanks is due to the corrosive nature of certain acidic e-Liquid flavors. Acidic juices have been known to react with plastic tanks by clouding the interior walls, absorbing colors, drying, and cracking the tank walls. These negative effects can be avoided by using a glass tank. Flavors which are generally known to be acidic are citrus flavors, cinnamon, and banana.

Kanger's ProTank Two is available with Pyrex in these colors:

  • Clear
  • Red
  • Turquoise
  • Smoke Grey
  • Purple

Five stars all the way through. I say that it doesn't really get any better than the ProTank quality wise, the II performs the same and has more features. You can take it completely apart, which is great, because then it doesn't require any glue, because the glue wears out over time. It doesn't leak (unless it's your fault), and it hits just as well as the first. I see people giving it a 4 star price, but they're really not that expensive at all, especially beings as in that you're pretty much set forever unless YOU break it. I say that the ProTank is the way to go, but the ProTank II is also the way to go.

Love the newly added removable drip tip.

Everything about this is great! This is one of my ADV tanks. Perfect for juices that are known to crack plastic tanks.

I think the design of the tank improved, and it much better to look at. The V.1's tank looks like giant nipple, but with the V.2 by changing the drip tip, you can improve the look.

Good vapor production, and amazing build quality.

The price is the only thing that may sway new users away to cheaper plastic tanks, but you won't be disappointed.

Also, the replacement coils on protanks are cheaper than any top coil replacement heads. On average $4 cheaper.

I love everything about this thing, the atomizers that were included are workhorses, you can clean EVERY piece, the rubber seals are thick and i have never had this thing leak from tank seals, its not good in the heat tho i gotta say but other than that you never so much as get a hint of a gurgle. The draw is jsut a tad bit airy for me, and i'm probably going to get a different drip tip, but thats ok BECAUSE YOU CAN CHANGE IT IF YOU WANT TO!!! Good on you Kanger, your at the top of the line as far as this type of tank is concerned. You wont be disappointed picking one of these up, a little pricy maybe, but its worth not having any hassels.

So Kanger first put out the Protank which took everyone by storm, and then they waited for reviews, and pumped out an even better product. The Protank II is a bottom coil glass tank that completely comes apart for easy cleaning. It is has a removable drip tip and an extra piece to the center tub that I believe helps stop leaking and gurgling. They also improved the base. With the Protank there were some issues that a minor jostle could sever the threading from the base, the new base is much stronger. Also, since it dissembles completely, all pieces can be replaced. I really like the bottom coils by Kanger. If you have read any of my other reviews you will see this. The vapor is amazing, the flavor is good. Yes, you can get better flavor out of dripping or cartos, but I am happy with it. Some say the draw is airy but there are easy ways to fix that if that is not your thing. The ease of filling the Protank II is the same as it was with the Protank. You can be set up and good to go in seconds with this.

The original ProTank was a tour de force: it was a glass clearomizer, the first of its kind, and it provided a great vape using the same heads as an eVod, which are proven to be wonderful (and easy to rebuild).

The ProTank II takes that same formula and improves on it. The walls appear to be a bit thicker than the ProTank's glass walls, which, considering the 'broken ProTank' posts I've seen, is a good thing. In addition, every part is replaceable - rather than a solid construction, it's assembled of 7 parts (I think; maybe more or less). This means that if your glass does break, you can simply buy a new glass section and save quite a bit of money. It's also much easier to clean - after vaping mint, cinnamon, or any other flavor that tends to stick around, I completely unscrew it (easy to do; simply grip the non-knurled metal sections directly above and below the glass, and unscrew) and then rinse all the parts separately. It's all held together with inner threads and o-rings, so leaking is also not an issue.

In short, this is my favorite clearo ever, and it looks great to boot.

I started off using mainly evods when I started vaping, but after a while I had realized I wanted to cape citrus juices and didn't want to destroy my tanks. So I began to look for a good glass tank. After all the great reviews the first model had and the fact that this one had just been release in was ecstatic to get my hands on one. Probably my favorite part of this tank is that it is completely disassemble which is great for cleaning AND if you were to break the glass you could just buy a new glass piece and not a whole new tank. Also since the tip is removable you can put custom drip tips on it for your viewing pleasure. My biggest problem is it tends to leak when its low or too hot inside the tank which I assume has to do with the air pressure inside. Great tank!
